1) Editorial Independence

​

I keep full editorial control. No brand can buy, edit, or veto my final opinion. Coverage is evidence-aware (peer-reviewed sources where relevant). If new data changes my mind, I’ll update the content and refresh the date.

2) Affiliate Links (how they work & how I label them)

​

At times I may use affiliate links to films, books, or beauty products. If you buy through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When affiliate links are present, I’ll label them right next to the link or button—for example: (affiliate)—and add a brief end-note on the page/section.

​

​Programs I may use (subject to approval): Amazon Associates, Awin, impact.com, and similar networks.

Rule: Money never decides the pick—fit does.

3) Sponsorships & Paid Partnerships (#ad)

​

Sponsored means I was paid to create content or include a placement. I label these clearly as #ad / Paid Partnership / Sponsored at the top of the content (and in the first line on social).

​

  • Sponsors can brief; final say = me.

​​

  • No guaranteed positive coverage.

​​

  • Any material connection (payment, free product, affiliate, discount, family/employee) is disclosed per FTC/ASA/EU rules.

​​

4) PR & #gifted Policy

​

I accept PR samples that fit my audience and research standards. Coverage is not guaranteed. If featured, content is marked #gifted (and (affiliate) if links are monetized).

​

  • I don’t accept pre-approval of copy or only positive terms.

​​

  • Unused items aren’t resold; they may be donated or recycled.

​​

Brands: pitch via ivette@theaestheticmind.com with INCI, claims, supporting data, and shade info. Please don’t ship without written confirmation.

5) Reviews & Methodology

​

Lived experience plus plausible mechanisms, with citations. Typical beauty testing window: 2–4 weeks unless labeled first-impressions.


Film/TV: I analyze theme, psychology, and cultural impact. Corrections welcome—email me with sources.

6) Usage Rights (brands, read this)

​

Always okay: link to any article; quote up to 50 words with visible credit (“The Aesthetic Mind”) + a live link.

​​

Ask first: full/near-full reposts, translations, paid ads/whitelisting, email blasts, product pages/packaging, long-term social use, or use of my PDFs/diagrams/video beyond 24-hour Stories.

7) Money-flow Legend (quick)​

Affiliate: I may earn a small commission if you buy through a link.

8) Corrections & Updates

 

​If I update a post for clarity or add data, I’ll refresh the date or note the change in-line.
