I unpack the science of attraction. I also respect consent. This page explains what I collect, why, and how to opt out—minus the legal jump scares.

Privacy Policy

1) Who We Are

The Aesthetic Mind is an editorial project run from Poland, published in English. I write about psychology, film, beauty, and brand strategy, and I sell digital products (e.g., ebooks). Some outbound links may be affiliate links (see Disclosures for how I label and handle them).

2) What Data I Collect (and why)

You share it with me

Email & name when you join the newsletter, download a free guide, or take a quiz.
Why: to deliver what you requested and send occasional updates (consent; you can unsubscribe).

Messages sent via the contact form or email.
Why: to reply and keep reasonable records (legitimate interests).

Collected automatically

Analytics events (pages viewed, device type, referrer, outbound link clicks) via Google Analytics 4 (Consent Mode).
Why: to understand what’s useful and improve the site (legitimate interests/consent where required).

Cookies & similar tech (from Wix/core functionality, analytics, and—after you click—affiliate programs).
Why: site functionality, performance, and measurement.

Security / anti-spam: site forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which may collect device and usage data to block bots.
Why: protect forms and site integrity (legitimate interests).

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

When you buy

Purchases are processed via Payhip (or another checkout provider). I receive the info needed to fulfill your order (e.g., email, product purchased). I do not see full payment card details.

3) Lawful Bases (GDPR)

Consent: newsletter sign-ups, lead magnets, quizzes, non-essential cookies.

Contract: delivering digital products you purchase.

Legitimate interests: basic analytics, site security (reCAPTCHA), preventing abuse, and minimal affiliate attribution.

Withdraw consent anytime (unsubscribe links or email ivette@theaestheticmind.com).

4) Cookies & Tracking

Essential cookies keep the site working.

Analytics cookies (GA4) show me what’s popular (Consent Mode honors your choices).

Security cookies (reCAPTCHA) help block spam and abuse.

Affiliate/redirect cookies may be set after you click to a merchant (for attribution only).

Your choices: use the privacy button (shield icon, bottom-right of any page) to review or change cookie preferences at any time. Your browser settings and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are respected where supported.

5) Who Processes Data for Me (examples)

Website & hosting: Wix

Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (Consent Mode)

Security / anti-spam: Google reCAPTCHA

Email service: MailerLite (newsletter, automated delivery of freebies)

Link shortener/redirects: Rebrandly (link management/redirects) or onsite /go/ links

Payments & delivery: Payhip

Affiliate platforms (after you click out): Awin, impact.com, Amazon Associates, and similar

These partners process data under their own terms/security standards (link to each provider’s policy from your page, if you wish).

6) International Transfers

Some providers operate outside the EEA/UK. I rely on vendor Standard Contractual Clauses and comparable safeguards.

7) Data Retention

Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe or I retire the list.

Contact messages: as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records.

Analytics: per vendor defaults/settings.

Orders: as required for tax/accounting/legal purposes.

8) Your Rights (EU/UK GDPR)

Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability; object to processing; withdraw consent.

You can complain to your supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office).

Requests: ivette@theaestheticmind.com (I respond within 30 days).

US (California) Privacy Notice — CPRA

What I collect (CPRA categories): identifiers (name, email) you provide; internet/activity data (pages viewed, device, referrer, IP-based region) via cookies/analytics; security data from reCAPTCHA; order details from Payhip (no full card numbers). No “sensitive personal information” collected.

Why: site operation, security/anti-spam, basic analytics, minimal affiliate attribution. If ad pixels are added later, they’ll be used for measurement/ads.

Sale/Sharing: I do not sell personal information. If ad cookies/pixels are enabled later, that may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out anytime.

How to opt out (Do Not Sell or Share): click the privacy button (shield icon, bottom-right), open Customize/Preferences, and turn Marketing Off (or use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information option when shown). I also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where supported.

Your California rights: to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing; non-discrimination; and to limit use of sensitive personal information (not collected here).

How to exercise: email ivette@theaestheticmind.com. I may verify your email/recent interactions. Response within 45 days (extensions as allowed). Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authority.

Minors: not intended for users under 16. I don’t knowingly sell/share minors’ data; any such activity would require prior opt-in consent.

9) Security

HTTPS + reputable vendors + reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; share only what you’re comfortable sharing.

10) Children

Not intended for children under 16. I don’t knowingly collect their data.

11) Changes

If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top. Material changes may be noted on-site.

Terms of Use

Read, learn, enjoy—don’t steal, don’t spam, and don’t treat essays as therapy or legal counsel.

By using this site, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked in the footer.

2) Content & no-advice Notice

All content is educational/editorial. It is not clinical, legal, or financial advice, and it doesn’t replace professional services.

3) Intellectual Property

Unless stated otherwise, all content (text, graphics, downloads) is owned by The Aesthetic Mind or used with permission. You may link to articles and share short quotes (≤50 words) with clear credit and a live link. You may not copy, republish, resell, or redistribute full posts, downloads, or paid products without written permission.

4) User Conduct

No hacking, scraping, or disrupting the site. Don’t post unlawful or abusive material via forms or email.

5) Third-Party Links

I link to external sites (films, products, references). I’m not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Purchases on external sites are between you and the merchant.

6) Digital Products & Refunds

Unless required by consumer law in your jurisdiction, digital products are non-refundable once delivered/accessed. If there’s a file issue, email ivette@theaestheticmind.com within 14 days and I’ll make it right.

(EU note: for instant digital delivery, you typically waive the 14-day withdrawal right—checkout will make this clear.)

7) Availability & Changes

I may modify or discontinue content or products at any time, and update pricing, bundles, or features without prior notice.

8) Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, and fitness for a particular purpose.

9) Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Aesthetic Mind isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or third-party links.

10) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Aesthetic Mind from claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these Terms.

11) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Courts of Warsaw will have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
